Issue with computer, help

Hello, my friends. I some time ago bought new laptop and installed my OS, and i have many issues that i wanted to fix, but i have no idea. I used mac os, but i've installed windows 8 and my opinion is that that there are some problems with firewall. I can't use postgresql channel because it's often not working and some ports are not working with other computers from the network. May be, it is a problem with cisco, but I'm not sure. What do you think?
